Heat Press Tag Questions
Heat Press Tag FAQs!
Q: What temperature should we use when we are attaching the Thermal Heat Press Labels to garments?
A: We recommend starting at 325 degrees for about 10 seconds. Adjust the time/temp as you see fit for the item you are tagging. Also, ensure that you are using even pressure when applying the tags.

Q: Where should we attach the tags to garments?
A: Find a place that will be out of the way. Example: the yoke of a jersey instead of the hem.
NOTE: If you have "stretchy" material, it's better to place the tag vertically instead of horizontally. When fabric gets pulled/stretched it's typically done horizontally and could pull on the tags' adhesion.

Q: How can I ensure even pressure while attaching the tags?
A: Ensure you are not placing a tag between seams, so that the head of the heat press machine can "meet" the fabric you are working with.
Another item that may help is called a pressing pillow. This is a non-stick, foam pillow that will allow even pressure distribution. Here is a link to a variety of Amazon options.
NOTE: Your HPM usually comes with a shiny white, cover paper, typically known as a Teflon sheet. These are Heat resistant Transfer protective sheets. They can be used to cover the fabric that you are NOT attaching a tag to.
