SCREENSHOTS: How to Change the Power of the RFID Scanner

Here are the steps to change the power control setting of the Ultra PD1, USB connected RFID scanner.

1. Check to see if SerialMagic Professional is already running on your computer. If it is running, you should see a small icon in the system tray. 
   1. First, expand the system tray by clicking on the arrow in the lower right-hand corner of your Windows desktop.
   2. Then, right-click on the blue icon that looks like the one in this image. 
2. When you right-click on the blue icon, a small pop-up window will open. Click on Restore.
   
3. You should see a screen that looks like the image below. On that screen, click on the Stop button to stop SerialMagic Professional.
4. Next, click on the Application Settings button. This is where we change the settings for the RFID scanner.
5. Click on the RFID tab. On this tab, change the power settings for the scanner by sliding the Power control to the left or right. Typically, the range for the scanner is 12 to 24 inches between the helmet and the scanner. But, that range can vary depending on the surrounding conditions. When you have finished changing the Power control settings, click the OK button.
6. Next, restart the SerialMagic Professional program by clicking on the Start button. The program should reconnect to the scanner and you will be ready to begin scanning again.
